Do I need to be tech-savvy to be a Warm-Handoff partner?+
No — that's the entire point. You don't need to know code, build websites, run demos, or quote prices. If a small-business owner says "I need a website" or "I can't find my business on Google," you just text us their name and number. We handle the call, the proposal, and the close. You get paid every month they stay a customer.
How do I refer a small business if I don't sell websites for a living?+
That's exactly who Warm Handoffs is built for. Most of our top partners are barbers, mechanics, real-estate agents, restaurant owners, retirees, and church members — people who know a lot of small-business owners but have zero interest in pitching anything. You submit a 30-second form (or text us directly) and we take it from there.
Can I refer someone by text message and still get credit?+
Yes. The Warm Handoff form lets you submit a prospect you spoke with by text, phone, coffee, or Zoom. Because attribution happens at submit — not at click — text-message and in-person referrals get paid the same as link referrals. You don't need to send anyone a tracked link.
How's this different from my regular referral link?+
Same commission, same attribution — different submission path. Use your link when the prospect is happy to click it themselves. Use Warm Handoffs when they won't (warm text intros, face-to-face referrals, elderly clients, busy owners). Both feed the same pipeline.
What is a warm handoff in sales and referral marketing?+
A warm handoff is when somebody personally introduces a prospect to a vendor, instead of handing over a tracked partner link. It comes from sales — the top reps always introduce prospects personally because warm intros convert 3-4× better than cold leads. We built a partner program around it so real-world introductions actually get paid, not just link clicks.
What counts as consent?+
A verbal or written confirmation from the prospect that they're OK with us contacting them about what you discussed. You check two boxes on the form certifying (a) you got their permission and (b) you're OK being named as the referrer. That's our CAN-SPAM / TCPA safety net.
What if the person I'm handing off isn't the actual decision-maker?+
The form has you. Toggle 'No — they're an influencer' and you'll be asked who the actual decision-maker is + this contact's role (e.g. Office Manager, Marketing Lead). We'll adjust our email tone accordingly and invite them to forward to the DM. Your attribution stays intact either way.
What happens after I submit?+
Immediately: we fire a branded intro email and/or SMS to the prospect naming you as the referrer. If they don't engage, our follow-up drip fires on Day 3 (gentle nudge), Day 7 (value content), and Day 14 (last check-in). Any click, reply, or status change pauses the drip so we don't over-email.
How do I see what's happening with my handoffs?+
Your Partner HQ → My Leads tab shows every Warm Handoff with live tracking chips (email sent, opens, Book-call clicks, Learn-more clicks, bounced, etc.) and a status badge (new / contacted / won / lost). Every Monday you also get a personalized digest email summarizing the week.
How much can I earn referring people to a web design and SEO company?+
Up to 25% recurring commission on every package the customer keeps — typically $30 to $127 per client per month. Five active referrals can mean $150+/month. Fifty active referrals can mean $6,000+/month. Milestone bonuses pay extra cash on top.
How fast does commission attribution happen?+
Immediately. The moment you hit submit, the prospect is written into our contacts database with your partner code attached. When they convert — days, weeks, or months later — the commission credits automatically on Stripe checkout.
Can I undo a submission if I made a mistake?+
Yes — just text or email Larry directly and we'll remove it from the pipeline within minutes. The duplicate guard also prevents you from accidentally submitting the same person twice.
